Traveled to St. Croix and Puerto Rico for work last week, was able to break away for a bit and enjoy some of the areas we were in.  Here a few of the photos from these gorgeous locations.

You Don't Need to See His Identification

I’ve been through a backscatter machine, I’ve been patted down and it is really annoying.  What’s worse, is the inability for TSA to communicate and understand common sense.  Maybe if they took a step back and realized there is probably a better way to implement and communicate the new security protocols it would not be going so poorly for them.

Inconsistencies are the things that bother me the most.  I can fly out of Dallas with certain things in my luggage but not back.  Each TSA officer gives me a different answer and pawns the blame on the other airport that let me fly out.  If you have a policy, make sure it is one that everyone interprets the same or at least similar, otherwise it makes us travelers feel like we are getting the run-around.

On November 21, 2010, I was allowed to enter the U.S. through an airport security checkpoint without being x-rayed or touched by a TSA officer. This post explains how.

Edit: Minor edits for clarity. I have uploaded the audio and it is available here.

San Fran Part 1

Yes, it has taken me forever to get these up and this is only 1/3 of what I want to share.  But, here is a start on me clearing out the backlog of great shots I’ve got from travel lately.  Hope you enjoy.

Notes

A few crummy shots from my Blackberry of my trip in Vegas with the wife.  More to come of higher quality in the near future.

Can’t wait to hop back on one of the American Airlines MD-80s that were built in the ’70s. More on Aloha Airlines Flight 243 and how the fuselage tore open in air in 1988 here. It was 22 years ago tomorrow.
