Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

What a driven, intelligent, daring and stubborn man who did everything he could to make the best ideas prosper.  I hope we can realize his genius and passion and find our next Steve Jobs for the years to come.

It’s a choice whether you, or anyone else, wants to accept the falsehood that liberal values are somehow in contradiction with business success at a global scale. Indeed, it would seem that many who claim to be pro-business are trying to “save” us from exactly the inclusive, creative, tolerant values that have made America’s most successful company possible. I side with the makers, the creators, and the inventors, and it’s about time that the pack of clamoring would-be politicians be put on the defensive for attacking the values of those of us on this side.

I used color queues to find my pumpkin plants, by looking for the green among the brown and stone. I spent ten minutes looking at my pumpkin plants, with their leaves of green and lemon-ginger.

Amazing, OSU is leading the way in some iPad integration for educational purposes.  They are giving them to 125 kids to test how they work as text books but also may administer tests and other actions through them.
I wonder what the study will find for those that use it for non-school related items, lose it, break it and/or become more popular for having it.

It astonished me how the interface disappeared for her: at one point she subconsciously licked her finger before “flipping” to the next photo.
